ACCESSIBILITY

Here are some of the main ways we try to make SPACE as safe and inclusive as possible for people with a range of access needs.

Please tell us if something is important to you but has not been included.

  • When you come to SPACE you MUST wear a mask to protect those around you from getting sick even if you think you do not have any symptoms of Covid 19.
  • You cannot come in without a mask unless you have a doctors letter with a good reason why. We provide masks for free at the door if you don’t have one.
  • The entry to SPACE is very wide so you can easily come inside with your wheelchair or other device that helps you get around. There is a slightly bumpy spot in front of the door but can be easily passed over with some help.
  • The toilets are The Factory are accessible and anyone of any gender can use any toilet you like.
  • The venue has multiple air purifiers throughout to improve air quality and reduce risk of getting sick.
  • SPACE uses lighting that is sensitive to neurological needs and we will never use flashing or strobe lights.
  • SPACE welcomes service animals and will try to keep the volume of music at a level that is safe, however performers may use sudden sounds or high pitched sounds sometimes in experimental music that we can’t control.
  • There are many comfortable places to sit at SPACE if you get tired or have trouble standing. If you can’t find a seat please tell us because we can find lots more chairs in the storage area.
  • We don’t accept or use cash at SPACE so that we can reduce the chance of spreading germs from touching money. You can pay with your phone or by card with our payment reader.
  • SPACE will live stream events so that you will not miss out on seeing performances if you can’t come along.
